GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ZOOM 341 MEETINGS:

THE TIME OF YOUR MEETING IS WHAT IS LISTED ON YOUR 341 NOTICE.  PLEASE CHECK THE 341 CALENDAR TO LOCATE THE ORDER YOUR CASE WILL BE CALLED.

IF YOU NEED AN INTERPRETER PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICE OUR OFFICE AND ADVISE OF THE SAME. THE TRUSTEE'S OFFICE WILL PROVIDE A COURT APPROVED INTERPRETER AT NO COST.  NO OTHER PERSON IS PERMITTED OT INTERPRET FOR THE DEBTOR.

A debtor must appear via zoom, both by video and audio,  and testify at a meeting of creditors.  If the debtor is unable to attend on the date scheduled by zoom, the hearing will need to be rescheduled.

When admitted to the meeting room, the Trustee will call the name of the individual case.  Please advise your client to mute his/her phone until such time as they are called. He/She may also wish to turn off their video until admitted into the meeting room.

The Trustee will verify receipt of proof of social security number and photo ID which should have been previously provided to the Trustee's office.  (See required list of documents to be provided prior to the 341 Meeting.)  Any creditor in attendance will need to state his/her name and they creditor they represent, if not themselves.

The Trustee will place the debtor under oath, and then conduct the meeting, which typically lasts less than 10 minutes.  She will ask questions of the debtor regarding the debtor's financial affairs and property.  After the Trustee is done questioning the debtor, any creditors in attendance will be given an opportunity to ask questions.  It is important that everyone speak loudly and clearly, as the meeting is being recorded.  It is especially important that the debtor hear and understand all questions asked by the Trustee (and any creditors), since the debtor is under oath, and false answers have consequences.

At the end of the meeting, the Trustee will inform the debtor and debtor's attorney whether the meeting is closed or continued to another date.  If the matter is continued, the Trustee will announce the date and time of the continuance.  If the continuance is because the Trustee has requested additional documents, Counsel can upload the additional documents through  Blue Stylus/TrusteeCollaborative  and then email Roberta advising of the compliance to ensure prompt review.  If the documents are provided timely and address all of the Trustee's questions, the Trustee will typically excuse the debtor from attendance at the adjourned meeting.

If documents have been provided prior to the continued date, Counsel should review the Trustee's 341 Meeting Status calendar to confirm whether the debtor's attendance is still required, or if the Trustee has concluded the 341 Meeting.
