After you file bankruptcy you are required to attend a 341 Meeting of Creditors with your Trustee. The purpose of the 341 Meeting of Creditors is to enable the Trustee to examine the debtor(s) under oath regarding the bankruptcy information that has been filed with the Court. The Court will send you a notice containing the date, time, and location of your 341Meeting of Creditors.

What to bring: You are required to bring the following two items with you to the meeting:

  1. your driver’s license, passport, or other photo-identification card that was issued to you by the government or an employer; and
  2. your social security card or original W-2 (No photocopies).

If you fail to bring both of these items with you to the meeting, the Trustee will not conduct your meeting and you will risk the dismissal of your case.

Documents: You are required to send the following documents to your Trustee at least 7 days before the date of your meeting:

  1. If you have one or more jobs, copies of pay stubs from each of your employers for the pay periods that fall within 60 days before the date you filed your case.
  2. Copies of your federal and state income tax returns for the most recent year in which you filed tax returns.
  3. A complete set of all of your bankruptcy filings as well as any Notices, Motions, or Orders you reveived from the Court or a creditor.

You can mail these documents, send them by facsimile, or you can email them to our office (contact info). If you fail to provide these documents, a noncompliance will be filed with the Court and your case will be subject to dismissal.
